Claris Vision (Koch Eye) is seeking full time and part time ophthalmic technicians to join our Ophthalmology and Optometry practice. Koch Eye has been a leading eye care practice delivering great patient care for 40 years. We offer LASIK, cataract surgery, retina and dry eye management, optical services, and more!


The ideal candidate will have a base office and will be able to travel to our different offices daily for coverage. We will pay mileage when you travel outside of your main location. We also offer flexible schedules!


This ophthalmic technician role includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain ophthalmic history from patient including the presenting complaint, past ocular history, illnesses, medications, allergies and reactions to drugs, etc.
  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms
  • Perform testing an evaluation to prepare the patient for doctors exam including visual acuity, color vision testing, keratometry, tonometry, both Goldmann and non-contact, lensometry, retinoscopy, exophthalmometry, Amsler grid, Schirmer test, pupil evaluation, anterior depth assessment, etc,
  • Administer eye medications
  • May assist physicians during minor surgical procedures.
  • Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic and surgical instruments
  • Working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms, and ocular medications.
  • Must have a clear understanding of company policies including the company manual

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification preferred, but not required
  • One to three years of experience
