Veterinary Technician

Parker’s Paws Animal Hospital is a superior, caring private practice, searching for a Veterinary Technician.

There is no boarding, no grooming, and no on-call schedule!

The right candidate should be certified, or have at least three years of technician experience. Surgical technician experience a plus!

Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

• Assist doctors and other vet assistants with appointments and procedures
• Collect lab samples such as fecal, urine and ear cytology’s
• Restrain animals in a safe, efficient and compassionate way
• Obtain accurate vital signs and weight
• Document patient’s information in Avimark
• Be able to communicate with clients in a professional and compassionate manner

Qualifications:

• Must have computer skills
• Must possess strong communication skills and have good judgement, a sense of urgency
• Must be able to physically and mentally be able to work in a fast and challenging environment.
• Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
• Need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs
